Brow lamination & tint in Perth, Scotland
I do brow lamination with tint at a private studio just outside Perth, one client at a time. Lamination sets your brow hairs in one direction so the brows look fuller and neater, and the tint brings out the fair tips that usually disappear against the skin. It is one appointment of about an hour, with no course to follow.
Lamination works on the hair itself, not the skin. A lifting lotion softens each hair enough to be brushed into place — usually up and slightly outwards — and a second lotion sets that shape. Hairs that grew in different directions or lay flat start filling the arch, and sparse patches become less noticeable. The tint goes on straight after, in a shade we choose together to suit your hair and skin tone.
The full result is there when you leave. Lamination usually lasts 4–6 weeks* and fades gradually as new hairs grow through. The tint fades sooner, after 2–3 weeks*, and for a day or two the skin under the brows may be lightly stained; that fades on its own. If you only want to refresh the colour between laminations, a tint on its own takes about half an hour.
Lamination works with the hairs you have — it cannot add them where there are none. On brows thinned by years of plucking it will improve the shape and fill the arch visually, but it won't close a gap. I only repeat lamination once the previous one has grown out: done too often, it dries the hair out and leaves brows brittle rather than fuller. If I look at your brows and think the difference will be small, I will tell you before we start, not after.

What the appointment looks like

Consultation: I look at your brows, ask about your skin and any allergies, and we agree the look — natural or more lifted.

Lamination: brows are cleansed, the lifting lotion goes on, and the hairs are brushed into shape and set.

Tint: colour in the shade we chose, then a nourishing oil to finish. The whole appointment takes about an hour.

Afterwards: keep your brows dry for the first 24 hours — no water, steam, sauna or brow makeup. After that, just brush them into place each morning.

Before you book
Come without brow makeup. I don't carry out the treatment on irritated, broken or flaking skin around the brows, over eczema, psoriasis or an infection in that area, or on skin still healing after microblading, permanent makeup or its removal. If you use retinoids or acids on your face, or have had a recent chemical peel, tell me when you book — the skin around the brows can react more strongly. I don't recommend lamination or tinting during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you have ever reacted to hair dye or henna, tell me that when you book too.
